Deep in the heart of the Badlands, where you may be working, the highly reflective quartz sandstone can raise temperatures in local areas up to 120°F. These conditions, coupled with today's ozone worries, make a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen and a canteen or water bottle a MUST! The weather/temperature in NE Montana is known to be inconsistent. Days that begin HOT and sunny can quickly yield to cold hailstorms. So, be prepared for the possibilities of HEAT, rain and/or chilly nights.
